We\u2019ve Turned 9 Years Old<\/h2>\n

We\u2019ve turned 9 years old today.<\/p>


<\/p>\n

A lot has changed in that time, both in the hosting industry and in the wider world. We\u2019ve seen prices rise across almost every product and service. We\u2019ve also seen many businesses sadly close their doors. Even so, we\u2019re proud to have reached this milestone as a privately owned company that puts customers first.<\/p>\n

More than anything, we feel grateful.<\/p>

We\u2019re thankful for the tens of thousands of customers who have supported us over the years. That includes people who signed up yesterday, as well as those who joined 9 years ago and are still with us today.<\/p>


<\/p>\n

Running Ethernet Servers is rewarding, but it also comes with challenges. Like any business, we face day-to-day pressures. In technology, those pressures move quickly. Bread and cheese will always be bread and cheese, but web hosting is a very different beast. The industry changes fast, and standing still is never an option.<\/p>


<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve made mistakes along the way. At the same time, we\u2019ve learned a great deal. We use that knowledge every day to keep our customers online and moving forward.<\/p>\n

Our Plans for the Year Ahead<\/h2>\n

We have ambitious plans for the coming year.<\/p>


<\/p>\n

One of the biggest is a major platform upgrade for our VPS customers. We plan to move from OpenVZ 7 to OpenVZ 9. This will bring long-requested WireGuard<\/a> support, along with a range of performance and stability improvements.<\/p>


<\/p>\n

We\u2019re also planning to upgrade all shared hosting servers from CloudLinux 7 to CloudLinux 8.<\/p>\n

Birthday Credit for Customers<\/h2>\n

Of course, we could not celebrate our birthday without giving something back.<\/p>


<\/p>\n

To mark the occasion, we\u2019re offering a $9 account credit to all customers who signed up before today, September 13th, 2022. We\u2019re also offering a $4.50 account credit to everyone else, meaning anyone who signs up today or before September 20th, 2022. To receive the credit, you must make a purchase first.<\/p>
