London, GB., October 21st, 2021<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Ethernet Servers Ltd, a leading web hosting & managed service provider (MSP) has today announced the addition of a new Linux operating system template – AlmaLinux!<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

There’s a reasonable chance you may never have heard of AlmaLinux, since it is by far the newest of all the Linux distributions we offer (CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian), however, the project was launched by one of the most experienced teams in the web hosting industry, CloudLinux, who’s team have spent a combined 500+ years working with Linux.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

In the\u00a0project’s own words<\/a>, is “an Open Source, community-owned and governed, forever-free enterprise Linux distribution, focused on long-term stability, providing a robust production-grade platform. AlmaLinux OS is 1:1 binary compatible with RHEL\u00ae and pre-Stream CentOS.”<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The one (and only) version on offer, AlmaLinux 8, will be supported with security updates until at least 2029.<\/p>
