We're extremely pleased to say we've just completed a major upgrade for our VPS platform! This work involved the removal of "legacy" OpenVZ templates, to the new "EZ" template system. This provides a huge number of benefits over the previous template system, chief among which is the fact it makes keeping the templates up-to-date a breeze. This means that when you deploy a VPS with us or reinstall the OS on an existing VPS, you'll no longer need to run yum update
or apt-get upgrade
and have to wait for updates, as they'll already be done!
Consequently, you get a faster, more stable, and more secure VPS, right out of the box!
Additionally, we've now added Ubuntu 20.04. We recommend that all customers run one of the following OS', all of which are still supported by security updates at a minimum:
- AlmaLinux 8 64-bit
- AlmaLinux 9 64-bit
- Rocky Linux 8 64-bit
- Debian 11 64-bit
- Debian 12 64-bit
- Ubuntu 20.04 64-bit
- Ubuntu 22.04 64-bit
- Ubuntu 24.04 64-bit

Thank you, and enjoy!
