We’ve Turned 9 Years Old

We’ve turned 9 years old today.

A lot has changed in that time, both in the hosting industry and in the wider world. We’ve seen prices rise across almost every product and service. We’ve also seen many businesses sadly close their doors. Even so, we’re proud to have reached this milestone as a privately owned company that puts customers first.

More than anything, we feel grateful.

We’re thankful for the tens of thousands of customers who have supported us over the years. That includes people who signed up yesterday, as well as those who joined 9 years ago and are still with us today.

Running Ethernet Servers is rewarding, but it also comes with challenges. Like any business, we face day-to-day pressures. In technology, those pressures move quickly. Bread and cheese will always be bread and cheese, but web hosting is a very different beast. The industry changes fast, and standing still is never an option.

We’ve made mistakes along the way. At the same time, we’ve learned a great deal. We use that knowledge every day to keep our customers online and moving forward.

Our Plans for the Year Ahead

We have ambitious plans for the coming year.

One of the biggest is a major platform upgrade for our VPS customers. We plan to move from OpenVZ 7 to OpenVZ 9. This will bring long-requested WireGuard support, along with a range of performance and stability improvements.

We’re also planning to upgrade all shared hosting servers from CloudLinux 7 to CloudLinux 8.

Birthday Credit for Customers

Of course, we could not celebrate our birthday without giving something back.

To mark the occasion, we’re offering a $9 account credit to all customers who signed up before today, September 13th, 2022. We’re also offering a $4.50 account credit to everyone else, meaning anyone who signs up today or before September 20th, 2022. To receive the credit, you must make a purchase first.
