Introducing the next-generation of VPS Hosting!
Greetings!
We’re pleased to announce that for the past 8 days, we’ve been using some of the newest kernel technology available for our VPS platform – OpenVZ 7!
The main benefit for our customers is the much-improved compatibility for applications such as Docker, thanks to its newer Linux kernel (3.1), compared with Linux 2.6.32 before.
A full comparison between OpenVZ (old) and OpenVZ 7 (new) can be found here.
All new VPS’ purchased from Ethernet Servers will be deployed using the new platform. All our servers will be upgraded over the coming few months.
If you’d like to be upgraded immediately, please open a support ticket.
Update 14/04/2025: All customers were updated to OpenVZ 7 in 2019.
